Wednesday, Jan 14, 7 PM, Tech Soup Global, 525 Brannan, San Francisco, CA
Social media, technology, journalism, community organizing, neighborhood associations, non-profits and local groups–how can they fit together to make our SF Bay area world work better in 2009, especially at a local/neighborhood level?
How can we bring connectors from different disciplines together, to talk across perspectives, share information and plan projects, actions and next steps to make social media tools–and the power of the real world–work effectively together?
This is the first Public Media Collaborative meetup; come and hear more about the convening groups’ vision, and share your own visions, interests and ideas. This will be a new cross-functional group to engage, discuss, do projects and even have fun (gotta have fun.)
There will be cool people, good ideas, snacks and synergies. If you have not joined the FB group and want to, please do so here
Bring your ideas, passions, and money to chip in for the snacks if you are so inclined.
