The World Association of Newspapers just announced that it is delaying its annual conference, originally scheduled to be held in Hydrabad, India , in March 09 till December 09. I was lucky enough to be invited to speak at a WAN conference back in 2005, and it’s am amazing international gathering, with rich European publishers and third-world newspaper execs side by side in a tumult of formal events, panels and seminars.

It will be fascinating to see what the conference looks like 10 months from now, what the survivors and casualities look like.
