the hyperlocal site I founded, has always had GREAT facebook traffic
and engagement–in fact, a recent social media survey by the city of
Oakland found that the 879 respondents said we were the Oakland-focused
page they were MOST engaged with on facebook. But–in the last
week–the number of impressions reported on our stories has plummeted
from an average of 1,000 to oh, 42 (!!!) and there are NO comments–very
Could there be something wrong with how Oakland Local is showing up in
FB search results? Could there have been a bug fix around the 22nd that
created a problem no one has yet discovered?
